University of Oklahoma Baseball RegionalMay 31 2024On Friday, May 31 – Monday, June 3, 2024, OU has requested our assistance with a Cooling Tent, Basic First Aid, and Watering Station inside the Baseball Grounds for a NCAA Baseball Regional. We are looking for medical and non-medical volunteers to work the cooling tent and watering station for anticipated 4 hour shifts dependent on the day and the games that are scheduled on that day. We would like to have 2-4 people to work each shift. Please wear your MRC Volunteer T-shirts. Friday: Duke vs. UCONN Noon & ORU vs OU at 6 pm Shifts - 11 am to 3 pm; 5 pm to 9 pm Saturday: Elimination (Losers Game 1&2) at 2 pm & Winners (Game 1&2) at 8 pm Shifts – 1 pm to 5 pm; 7 pm to 11 pm Sunday: Elimination Game at 2 pm & Winner of Game 4 plays that Winner at 8 pm Shifts – 1 pm to 5 pm; 7 pm to 11 pm Monday: 8 pm OU vs. UCONN Shift - 7 pm - 11 pm Temperatures are expected to be between 80 – 90, periods of Full Sun, and high humidity, with a chance for Thunderstorms throughout the 4-day period. Our cooling tent will be one of 3 tents in the grassy area directly to the NW of the Ticket Office and stadium entrance - inside the stadium grounds.
